NAVILUNA 69% Velvet Stout & "Rasa Bale" Banana LTD ED Chocolate Bar

Entitled "Undisclosed Brewer" this limited edition craft chocolate bar explores the concept of "collaborations" as manifest in the modern era of influencer-lead products within the attention economy.

Quite visibly taking its' cue from one of the most iconic collaborations of the 20th century, the packaging speaks of the interplay between painter and musician, art and commerce, creativity and craftsmanship, bitter and sweet, whilst interrogating the practice of brand collaborations, asking whether the outcome is "greater than the sum of its' parts," or simply "a tyranny of averages."

Made with a blend of Kerala single origin cacao macerated in bold and bitter velvet stout beer for several days, then dried and conched by our chocolate makers at low temperatures to preserve the herbaceous aromatics of the hops underpinned by bodied stout malt, before being seasoned with candied "Rasa Bale" or Nanjungud "juicy" banana for a streak of sweetness that cuts through those deep malty tones.

This bar is both bitter & sweet, preferably enjoyed with a pint of bold stout beer on the side so as to offset the bitterness.
